In the Spring of 2018, David Stone together with a group of West Shore business men and women formed the Friends of the West Shore Theatre, Inc, a not-for-profit corporation aimed at saving the historic West Shore Theatre.  Mr. Stone serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors.  The Board has purchased the theatre and has started a capital fund drive to renovate and reopen the theatre as a multipurpose movie and performance venue.
