Profile: Elizabeth B. Stone
Elizabeth Barron Stone is a native of her hometown New Cumberland,
PA. She is the daughter of the firm founder, Charles H. Stone. She
graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1978 and Franklin &
Marshall College, Lancaster, PA with a degree in English in 1982.
After five years in telecommunications in Philadelphia, Elizabeth
went back to school to get her law degree in 1987 from Vermont Law
School, South Royalton, Vermont, graduating in 1990. Elizabeth served
as law clerk to Governor Madeleine Kunin, Vermont, 1988, the Honorable
Judge Keith B. Quigley, Court of Common Pleas, Perry County, 1989,
and the Honorable Richard H. Horn, Court of Common Pleas, York County,
1990-1991. Elizabeth served as Assistant Counsel to the Environmental
Hearing Board under the Honorable Terry Fitzpatrick, 1992. Elizabeth
then joined the Dauphin County Public Defenders in the fall of 1992,
and practiced criminal law in front of jury and non-jury trials
for four years.
In 1996, Elizabeth was invited to join the firm, where her
primary field of practice is family law, collaborative law, and
general litigation. Elizabeth resides with her husband, Christopher,
and their son, in New Cumberland.
