Profile: Charles Stone
Charles H. Stone was
born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and has lived most of his life in
New Cumberland. He graduated from New Cumberland High School in
1945, Princeton University in 1949 and the Harvard Law School in
1956. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He was
admitted into the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in
1957.
For a time after graduating from law school he worked
in the Office of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania. Since then
he has been in private practice and has
devoted his attention principally to trusts and estates, estate
planning, real estate transactions, and the legal affairs of small
business owners.
Mr. Stone has been active in cultural and civic affairs in the community.
He has been president of the Harrisburg Symphony Association, the
William Penn Memorial Museum Associates, and the Cumberland County
Historical Society. He has been president of the Cumberland County
Bar Association and remains active on several of its committees.
