David H. Stone
David H. Stone was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and has lived most of his life in New Cumberland. He graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1975, Princeton University in 1979, and New York Law School (Cum Laude) in 1983.He was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1983. After a one-year clerkship with James Crumlish, the President Judge of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, he joined his father in the general practice of law. Today, his practice focuses on real estate transactions, estate planning and administration, and small business matters. His career has been dedicated to helping people with real, every day problems such as buying or refinancing a house, writing wills and powers of attorney, and helping executors handle estates. He has enjoyed working in a small, family oriented firm. Many of his clients have been friends for years. Mr. Stone is the Past President of the Estate Planning Council of Central Pennsylvania and Past President of the Chartier Club, a New Cumberland business association, past Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of the Harrisburg Academy, and past Chairman of the Business and Professional Group of the New Cumberland Olde Towne Association.
Mr. Stone currently lives in New Cumberland with his wife, Lisa, a campaign finance report consultant. When not in the office, he can be found on the local tennis courts or waist deep in the Yellow Breeches Creek fly-fishing. He is a Board Member of the Cumberland Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited and a member of the Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservationists. He is the proud father of Annie, an editor with Alloy Entertainment in New York, Sophie, an analyst and tracker for FreshStart.org, Peter, a musician at Tufts University, his step-daughter Jennifer, a principal in the political consulting and design company, 401 Group, LLC and his step daughter, Sarah, a second grade school teacher at Conewago Elementary School. Mr. Stone also loves his role as “pop-pop” to his grandchildren, Rory and Grace.
Gerald J. Shekletski
Jerry Shekletski graduated from Princeton University in 1981 and received his law degree from Ohio Northern University (Dean’s List) in 1984. Mr. Shekletski focuses his practice on estate planning and administration, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and business and corporate law. He is a licensed real estate title insurance agent. Mr. Shekletski is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Pennsylvania, having served on its Board of Directors, the Cumberland County and Dauphin County Bar Associations, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Shekletski has been an adjunct professor at Harrisburg Area Community College for over ten years, teaching paralegal courses in estate planning and administration and real estate law. He is active in many community and civic organizations, including the New Cumberland Olde Towne Association where he has served as President and on the Board of Directors. Mr. Shekletski and his wife, Anita, have lived in Central Pennsylvania for more than twenty-five years and have two daughters, Anne and Leah. He is a member of the Princeton University Alumni Schools Committee where he is responsible for interviewing central Pennsylvania high school seniors who have applied for admission to Princeton University. Mr. Shekletski is a registered PIAA basketball official and a member of the International Association of Basketball Officials.
Charles H. Stone
Charles H. Stone was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and has lived most of his life in New Cumberland. He graduated from New Cumberland High School in 1945, Princeton University in 1949 and the Harvard Law School in 1956. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He was admitted into the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1957. For a time after graduating from law school he worked in the Office of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania. Since then he has been in private practice and has devoted his attention principally to trusts and estates, estate planning, real estate transactions, and the legal affairs of small business owners. Mr. Stone has been active in cultural and civic affairs in the community. He has been president of the Harrisburg Symphony Association, the William Penn Memorial Museum Associates, and the Cumberland County Historical Society. He has been president of the Cumberland County Bar Association and remains active on several of its committees.
JON F. LAFAVER
Jon F. LaFaver has lived most of his life in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. He graduated from New Cumberland High School in 1953, Muhlenberg College in 1957, and New York University School of Law in 1960. Mr. LaFaver practiced law as a sole practitioner until merging with the firm in 1993. Mr. LaFaver had been an adjunct professor with the Dickinson School of Law from 1994 through 2006. He was formerly the Solicitor for the Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds, Cumberland County Register of Wills, Borough of New Cumberland, and the New Cumberland Borough Authority. He has been very involved in the county and state bar associations having served as President of the Cumberland County Bar Association, Chairman of numerous committees, a Former House of Delegates member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Former Board of Governor and Former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
